Shear is the newest brand in online tailoring. Expert tailor Gareth Beckwith teamed up with his business partner to create Shear and their mission is to become the biggest (and coolest) name in online tailoring.

The Brief

The website needed to be transactional, allowing people to browse the collection of suits, shirts and other items and then make a purchase.

It therefore needed full e-commerce functionality, including a ‘My Account’ section, email notifications for purchases and cancellations, along with a customised checkout process to efficiently take people through the buying process.

Our Approach

Our friends at Platform Brand from our partner network created an awesome brand for Shear and the website needed to follow suit (excuse the pun). 

The split between the current season’s collection and the ever-present Iconic Range is clear on the homepage, along with an explanation of how the process works for buying your very own tailored suit.

Video is key to understanding how to take your own measurements for the suit you need, so we used a ‘How It Works’ page featuring amazing video work from Paul and the team at Thunder & Lightning Film.

The design is big and bold and fits the brand perfectly and we used WordPress as the framework for the site and the e-commerce functionality.

The Result

A striking, cool website that Shear now send thousands of people to every month from various digital marketing efforts.
